Heather Thompson was born in Georgia but grew up in rural New Hampshire. Her first restaurant job, at the age of 18, was at a resort on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee.

She moved to New York City in 2001 to attend NYU Tisch School of the Arts. There she studied drama, and worked as a waitress and bartender in the East Village. In her last semester of her senior year, she took a course on the history of American burlesque, and fell in love. She still performs innovative versions of classic striptease whenever the chance arises.

Myers+Chang is her first venture into management. "I can think of no better place, and no better people, I'd prefer to be working with. There's something really unique about this place, and I love being a part of what makes it come together."
