The coronavirus pandemic has led to the closures of some 3,600 restaurants in the state, according to the Massachusetts Restaurant Association — with more closures expected as the cold winter months approach. To discuss, Jim Braude was joined by Joanne Chang and Christopher Myers, the wife-and-husband team behind Myers + Chang.
Myers + Chang provides straws to guests only upon request, encourages diners to bring their own takeout bags, and offers compostable bamboo chopsticks as an alternative to plasticware.
Myers + Chang has operated the popular South End spot serving Asian-inspired dishes since 2007, and its sole udon dish makes for a solid reason to venture out to the lively neighborhood.
As the chef-owner of eight Flour bakery cafes and the modern Chinese restaurant Myers + Chang, Joanne Chang is constantly on the move.

Joanne Chang joins fellow chef Ming Tsai in this episode of “Simply Ming” to prepare Vietnamese Espresso Ice Cream-filled Profiteroles with Spicy Ganache.
